Alec Baldwin’s “Rust” Trial: Jury Selection to Begin in July 2024

The involuntary manslaughter trial of Alec Baldwin for the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie “Rust” is set to begin on July 10, 2024. Jury selection will start on July 9, and the trial is expected to last until July 19. Baldwin is charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter following the October 2021 incident where a live round discharged from a prop gun Baldwin was handling, also injuring the film’s director, Joel Souza
