Here’s a step-by-step guide to installing Ubuntu:
- Download the latest version of the Ubuntu ISO file from the official website (https://ubuntu.com/download/desktop).
- Create a bootable USB drive using tools such as Rufus (https://rufus.ie) or Universal USB Installer (https://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3/).
- Insert the bootable USB drive into your computer and restart it.
- Press the appropriate key to enter the boot menu (e.g. F12, Esc) and select the USB drive to boot from.
- On the Ubuntu installation screen, select “Install Ubuntu”.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select your language, keyboard layout, time zone, and partitioning method.
- Create a user account with a username, password, and password hint.
- Wait for the installation process to complete and then restart your computer.
- Once the system reboots, remove the USB drive and log in to your newly installed Ubuntu system.
Note: Before installing, you may want to back up any important data on your computer, as the installation process will erase all the data on the selected partitions.
